- It’s the client’s responsibility to ensure the quality and accuracy of the submitted files, to guarantee precision in the final parts.
- Submit your .dxf files with contour lines, top view, scaled at 1/1, in millimetres.
- Each component/part should be in a separate .dxf file.
- Specify the quantity and desired thickness for each part.
- Please note, we do not provide drawing work of your components.
- We do not make any adjustments to files.
- Ensure your files are ready for production by checking the provided guidelines.
- Include a corresponding .pdf file (with all dimensions), guaranteeing accuracy and quality assessment.
- Each component/part should be in a separate .pdf file.
- Our engineering team reviews your file(s) for producibility and tolerances.
- If needed, we will give you the necessary feedback (with a request for updated files).
- Once your files pass our quality checks, you will receive our quotation with transparent and competitive pricing within 3-4 working days.
- We need +- 6 working days for more complex parts.
- When you agree with the quotation (whether it's for prototyping or larger series), we send you an order confirmation and delivery time.
- Drawing from your input, we can use both "Standard" and "High Strength" sheets, but also "Sandwich" and "Honeycomb" panels available in our webshop.

Guidelines And Other Things To Know: What is possible?
The production of high-quality composite parts demands adherence to specific guidelines. As you prepare your files, it’s essential to keep the following points in mind. These criteria not only contribute to the successful processing of your order but also play a crucial role in the overall precision and quality of the final components.
All holes need to have a minimum diameter of 3mm to allow the jet to enter the hole without risk of delamination. The same goes for slots and inner contours. It is possible though to cut slots or features down to 1mm as long as these features are connected to a contour with a 3mm diameter cavity.
Allow for at least 3mm wall thickness between contours. Walls less than 3mm can be cut but are prone to chipping which can lead to compromised strength.
All sharp inside corners will have a 0.4mm radius due to the width of the waterjet. Outside corners will remain sharp. It is best practice to apply a radius in every inside corner as sharp corners are prone to damage due to high stress.
We're able to cut 2D contours. Features such as countersunk holes, filleted edges or bevels are not supported. Make sure all features that require 3D countouring are removed as these will be interpreted as 2D contours which will be cut perpendicular to the surface.
The use of a mortise and tenon joint is great way of positioning and bonding carbon components together. To ensure a good fit, we recommend to consider the tolerances to compensate for variation in sheet thickness.
Fiber orientation within a fiber-reinforced polymer composite can greatly impact the strength of a part. Fibers running along the length of the part offer great stiffness, whereas fibers running at 45° result in better torsional stability.
- For our waterjet cutting service, we offer a tolerance of +-0,2mm.
- Keep in mind that minor damage (delamination) around the holes can occur.
